Explore the Catskills
The Orange Mountain House is located in Cairo, just two hours north of New York in the northern Hudson Valley. The house is less than 30 minutes from Windham and Hunter mountains, two of the best ski areas in the state, and some of the best hiking in the valley. If getting outdoors isn’t your thing, check out a drive-in movie, wander the streets of nearby Catskill or Hudson or head to one of our favorite local bars or restaurants within about 30 minutes driving.
See below for a list and map links to some must-do activities and must-visit bars and restaurants near our home away from home.
